Okay, if you've been reading comics for at least 20 years, you probably remember the old Rob Liefeld series Prophet, which was drawn for a time by a guy named Stephen Platt (no relation), whose style was just a wee bit detailed:

Well, in response to that, I drew this way back in 1993 as I tried to break into editorial cartooning about comics (kind of a limited market):

This was almost more trouble than it was worth to scan and restore (the paper had yellowed and it barely even fit on my scanner), but all in all, I'm glad to have captured it for eternity.

Dipping into the autobiographical well for this one. I have a tiny scar on my left cheek. Most of the time it's barely even visible, if at all. And yet I imagine that it's the first thing that people see about me. Go figure.
